Code 83 #4 Fast Tracks turnout construction jig

Description

This is a used #4 turnout construction jig.  It shows signs of light use.  There is nothing wrong with this item and can be used to make many turnouts for your railroad.  This jig is designed for code 83 Micro Engineering rail and PC board ties from Fast Tracks.  Also available from Fast Tracks would be the Quick Stick crosstie strips to make the complete switch much easier.  Filing the rails to proper angles is made much easier with the point filing tools listed in this area additionaly.

I have used code 83 jigs to build turnouts in other code rail.  More care has to be taken to ensure proper gauging.  I have found that keeping the rails pressed against the “inside” edges of the rail channels in the jig works, it just takes more effort and care.
